Warner Music Group to bid on EMI GROUP

KKR & Co. is in talks with Warner Music Group to launch a break-up bid for EMI Group Ltd., the Sunday Times reported, they did not report where they got the information.

KKR wants to acquire EMI’s music publishing division while Warner is seeking its recorded music unit, the Sunday Times said.  The companies have not yet been in contact with EMI and will not be making the bid official until financial issues with Citigroup Inc. have been resolved.
